Enjoying Life is Our Purpose

Prosperity Series (small articles to make you think)

Written by Benjamin Hartnett

We have a purpose. In fact, we have many purposes. One of those purposes is to enjoy life. God has given us one life here on earth to make a difference. John 10:10 is a proof that we can enjoy life. Life is short. So, what is the use of being negative? What good does it do to complain? In fact, God does not want us miserable. Jeremiah 29:11 is also proof of that God has a good plan for us. Today, many people think Christianity is a joyless horrible life style to live and many people think God is an angry judge. That is farther from the truth. We can even use our happiness to be a testimony for our lives for other people to see.

So, where am I going with this? I am letting you know that I have learned the secret of life. That secret is to enjoy life and live in God’s will. Both go hand in hand with each other. We can live and enjoy God’s will.

It is not wrong to get your hair done. It is not wrong to watch a movie. It is not wrong to read a book. It is not wrong to play a video game. Don’t get trapped into legalism. Legalism is basically living your life based on rules rather than a relationship with God the amazing Creator of the universe.

If we apply biblical principles, put God first, and follow his will then we can enjoy our lives. God has a good plan for each of us and we need to follow that plan through God’s Word and being led by God’s spirit. Follow the leading of God’s spirit. Live in peace. Be positive. Be happy!

It is not a sin to be happy. Many people think God is an angry judge wanting everyone to be miserable. That is far from the truth. Everyone has a different walk with God. Simply put, if you are in God’s will you can be happy!

God wants us to enjoy all of life. Enjoy washing the dishes. Enjoy driving. Enjoy the weather. Enjoy work. Life is too short to not be happy. Be as happy as you can be!
